Subject: Cape Coral Police K9 Unit Re-Certifies with Prestigious National Police Canine Association (NPCA)

The Cape Coral Police Department's K9 Unit participated in yearly re-certification with the National Police Canine Association on March8th. The NPCA held the 8 hour long certification test in Cape Coral.

The certification is for tracking, narcotics detection and patrolling.

This certification is not just for the dog but the handler and dog as a team. Three of the department's six K9 teams were up for re-certification and passed all aspects of the testing.

The teams are:

Officer Chris Clapp with K9 Dux Officer Jamie Greywith K9 Daro

Officer Robert Reese with K9 Ben
