The Cape Coral Police Department has a proud workforce consisting of 231 sworn officers, 98 civilians and more than 100 community volunteers. The Department is a full-service police agency that includes Patrol Services, Community Outreach Programs such as Neighborhood Watch and a Citizen's Police Academy, Juvenile Intervention Programs, School Resource Officers, Investigative Services, Traffic Safety Services and Marine Services.

Members of the Cape Coral Police Department strive to be one of the premier law enforcement agencies in Florida, working hard to provide for the public safety of our community. We have worked well together – the police and the citizens – and Cape Coral is considered one of the safest cities in Florida with populations of more than 100,000 people. This makes our city an excellent place for families to live, work and play. 

Cape Coral is a coastal community located in southwest Florida and is the largest city between Tampa and Miami. Cape Coral has a growing population of more than 162,000 people and a land area of almost 120 square miles. Cape Coral is also known for its 400-plus miles of canals and access to the Gulf of Mexico.
