(October 17, 2018)- The Cape Coral Police Department needs your votes to help assist the K9 Unit! We have been nominated to participate in the Aftermath K9 Grant.
The Aftermath K9 Grant was founded to showcase, support, and reward the unique contributions made by K9 units across the country and, indirectly, to recognize and support the communities that are served. The month-long contest awards grants to new or established K9 programs for maintenance, safety equipment, or officer training. Officers and community members nominate and vote for local departments; the departments with the most votes receive one of eight grants.
Voting will begin on October 18th and conclude on November 2nd. Anyone in the community – whether you are a student, a local business, or a fellow officer – can vote to support their favorite K9 unit! Individuals may vote ONCE every 24 hours online at https://www.aftermath.com/k9-grant/ and on Instagram (follow @AftermathK9Grant for instructions). Be sure to indicate our Department, City and State. Please vote responsibly.
Votes will be tallied after the voting period ends and the winning K9 units will be announced on November 5, 2018. So be sure to vote for your Cape Coral Police Department K9 Unit. Spread the word and come back daily starting October 18th to ensure that your Cape Coral Police Department wins a grant!
