Sergeant Angela Fleming started with the Cape Coral Police Department in October 2006 where she is currently assigned to the Patrol Bureau as the Platoon 2 Central District supervisor.
Sergeant Fleming served in the US Navy from 2000 through 2004. She attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes; then technical school at Information Warfare Training Center Corry Station. She was later stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) homeport Norfolk, VA.
During her time in the US Navy, she was rated as a cryptology technician collector and promoted to a petty officer second class (E-5). Her role was based in operational roles deciphering encrypted communications and monitoring electronic networks for intelligence.
While on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, Sergeant Fleming was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for “professional achievement as Morale, Welfare, and Recreation assistant leading petty officer and OS/OZ division work center supervisor.”
