Investigative Services Bureau

The Investigative Services Bureau is responsible for long-term, in depth, undercover and technical investigations. The Bureau is made up of the following units: Major Crimes, Property Crimes, Narcotics, Economic Crimes, Crime Analysts, SWAT, Crisis Negotiation Team, Special Investigations, Evidence/Property, Forensics, and Victim’s Assistance.

CAPTAIN DON DONAKOWSKI

Captain Don Donakowski started with the Department in 2000. In that time, he’s been a Administrative Lieutenant, Field Training Officer Administrator, Assistant SWAT Team Commander, Lieutenant in the Special Operations Bureau, and Captain of the Patrol Bureau. Captain Donakowski has a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University.
