Subject: Career Criminal Who Committed Several Armed Robberies in CapeCoral Sentenced to Prison
Oscar Dan Davis 24 of 5512 Fifth Avenue #1 Fort Myers, FL was sentencedto 9 years in prison on Thursday. Davis was arrested by Cape CoralPolice in 2008 for a series of armed robberies he committed throughoutthe city. Davis would confront his victims in the early morning hours,threaten them with a handgun and steal their money and/or property.
In one such robbery, Davis stole the victim's wallet and used his creditcard to pay his cell phone bill. This is how detectives were able toidentify him as a suspect and eventually arrest him on armed robberycharges.
Davis would later be back out on the streets and resume his criminalactivity. This time, he started committing burglaries. Davis was againidentified as a suspect in a string of residential burglaries occurringfrom February thru March of 2010. Davis was arrested by Cape CoralPolice in March of 2010 on charges of burglary and dealing in stolenproperty stemming from a home break-in on February 14th 2010. Davisbroke into the home and stole jewelry and later sold it to a pawn shopin Fort Myers.
Oscar Davis was sentenced to 9 years in the Florida Department ofCorrections with a Career Criminal designation of Habitual FelonyOffender. When the judge sentenced him to 9 years, Davis thanked him forhis leniency.
