Subject: Cape Coral Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Walgreen’s Pharmacy

 

Cape Coral Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying a suspect who committed an armed robbery at 10am today at the Walgreen’s Pharmacy located at 1534 Cape Coral Parkway West.

 

A male (described as 5’8-5’9 160lbs wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, ski mask, dark pants, white gloves, dark athletic shoes, armed with a semi-automatic handgun) hopped the pharmacy counter and pointed the gun at the pharmacist. The suspect, who was described as having a Spanish accent, demanded Oxycontin pills.

 

The suspect took multiple bottles of the narcotic, hopped the counter and fled on a dark colored men’s bicycle. No one was injured during the robbery. Witnesses last saw the suspect eastbound on SE 48th Terrace.

 

Two witnesses that were interviewed on a canvass of the area recalled seeing the male without the ski mask riding a bicycle near the store, possibly casing the business at 8am and again at 9:45am.
