On April 11 at about 6:30 PM, the VIN Unit followed up on an anonymous tip of a suspected grow house located at 1223 NW 20 Terrace.  Detectives went to the location, obtained probable cause and completed a search warrant.  3rd Platoon patrol officers and K-9 Officer Brian Aponte were made aware of the residence and detained 2 Hispanic males arriving at the home shortly after midnight.

Detectives were contacted and the search warrant was executed resulting in the seizure of 49 plants located within the garage and northeast bedroom.  Both rooms had very elaborate irrigation systems to include a 100 gallon tank submerged in the garage floor by cutting of the concrete slab. (See attached photos) The seized marijuana had an estimated street value of $200,000.
