Subject: Cape Coral Police Officers Help Local Kids with a Project at Lowe's

On Saturday September 10th, members of the Cape Coral Police Department visited some local children who were attending a workshop class at the Cape Coral Lowe's Home Improvement Store.

Sergeant John Kulko and Officers Marlea Major, Jeremy Niland and Georgeann Lytle overheard a parent speaking about a project for kids at the Lowe's store in which the children were making toy police cars.

The Officers took time away from patrolling the streets and made an impromptu visit of the store and assisted the children as they were working on the project. The visit was well received by the kids and their parents as well as the staff at Lowe's.

"Our Police Officers look to have positive interaction with the youth of this city as often as possible. Instilling in our kids that Officers in uniform are approachable and represent safety is very important. We're grateful to Lowe's for hosting this positive program for kids and letting us visit and be a part of it."-Lieutenant Tony Sizemore.
