Subject: Cape Coral Police Arrest 3 Suspects in Occupied Burglary Case

On September 28, 2011 at 11:15am, Cape Coral Police responded to a report of an occupied home burglary at 214 SE 26th Street.

The homeowner arrived home and walked in his front door to discover three black males in his living room, taking his property. The victim/homeowner yelled for the males to leave while he grabbed his phone to call police. The three suspects ran from the home (which is located South of Veterans Parkway) and crossed over Veterans Parkway running towards the shopping plaza North of Veterans Pkwy.

Police received calls from citizens who witnessed the suspects running across the busy roadway. The citizens were able to keep officers updated as to where the suspects were running. A Cape Coral Police Detective confronted the suspects as they were running near Aviation Pkwy and ordered them to stop. The suspects ran from the Detective and continued running into the neighborhood North of Veterans Pkwy and East of Santa Barbara Blvd.

As Officers arrived in the area, they were quickly able to take the three suspects into custody. The victim was brought to the area where the suspects were apprehended and was able to positively identify his jewelry, which the suspects had in their possession.
