(January 16, 2012)- At approximately 0533 hours officers responded to 4928 Viceroy Court in reference to a male subject shot in the leg. The victim told officers “Ace” broke into his home, attempted to rob him, and shot him in the leg. The victim stated that he was familiar with “Ace” and that he lived near the 7-11 at Coronado and Miramar. Officers on duty were familiar with an “Ace” that lives near Coronado and Miramar. Contact was made with “Ace” (Ace Young –W/M 07/19/91) at that location. Officers saw items that Ace Young identified as stolen property from car burglaries that occurred just hours prior. Further investigation led officers to Marcel Young (B/M 12/23/95 – no relation to Ace), Eric Mynhier (W/M 07/10/91) and Aidon Young (W/M 06/05/89 – brother of Ace) at 5204 Coronado Parkway.
