SYNOPSIS:

Vehicle 1, a 2008 Hummer Sport Utility Vehicle, was traveling Westbound on Veterans Parkway West.  Vehicle 1 was traveling in the outside lane.
Vehicle 2, a 1992 Toyota mini van, was traveling Eastbound on Veterans Parkway West.  Vehicle 2 was traveling in the outside lane.

For unknown reasons, the Black Hummer traveled off of the North edge of the roadway and onto the grassy area.  The Black Hummer continued off road for approximately 500 feet (in the grassy area), then impacted a row of shrubs with the driver`s side of his vehicle.  After impacting the row of shrubs, the Black Hummer traveled back towards Veterans Parkway West. The Black Hummer then crossed over the Westbound lanes of Veterans Parkway West and across the grassy center median that separated the East and Westbound lanes of Veterans Parkway West.

The Black Hummer crossed over two more lanes and the front of the Black Hummer struck the drivers door area of white Toyota that was driving in the opposite direction.  After initial impact with the white Toyota, the Black Hummer spun in a counterclockwise position and came to rest upside down on its roof, approximately 50 feet South of the outside lane of Veterans Parkway West, in the grassy area. At final rest, the Black Hummer was facing in a Northeast direction.

After being impacted by the Black Hummer, white Toyota flipped over onto its roof and came to rest with half of the vehicle in the outside lane of the roadway and half of the vehicle in the grassy portion of the South side of the roadway.  At final rest, white Toyota was facing in a Northwest direction.

The driver and the front right passenger in white Toyota were pronounced dead on scene.  The driver and front right seat passenger in the Black Hummer suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Cape Coral Hospital by Medics for further medical treatment.
