Cape Coral Police Detectives Take Down Grow House
(January 30, 2014)- On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, Cape Coral Police Detectives took down a marijuana grow house in a NE Cape Coral neighborhood, seizing over 57 pounds of raw marijuana and $13,000 in cash.
Police responded to 4114 East Gator Circle after LCEC personnel discovered that electrical power was being illegally diverted to the residence. When officers responded, they could smell the odor of raw marijuana coming from the front of the residence.
A search warrant was obtained and Detectives from the Cape Coral Police Department Vice, Intelligence, and Narcotics (VIN) Unit made contact with the resident in the home, Luisa Coromoto Bado (W/F, DOB: 04-10-1964) and executed the search warrant.
Inside the residence was a fully operational grow operation was discovered inside the residence. A total of 57.3 pounds of cannabis was seized along with $13,000 in US currency. The investigation revealed that Bado rented this residence for the explicit purpose of cultivating cannabis and was paid by a 3rd party to maintain the crop. Bado was arrested on multiple charges and transported to the Lee County Jail. Photos from the residence are below:

CHARGES: MARIJUANA-TRAFFIC (EXCESS OF 25 LBS OR 300 PLANTS OR MORE), DRUGS-TRAFFIC (OWN RENT STRUCTURE VEH KNOW TRAFFIC DRUGS), DRUG EQUIP-POSSESS (AND OR USE) x3, and MARIJUANA-PRODUCING (SCHEDULE I).
