Cape Coral Police Department Releases Name of Victim From Weekend Homicide

 

(January 6, 2014)-  The Cape Coral Police Department has identified the victim in a fatal shooting that took place early Saturday morning.

The victim is identified as Pierre Jacques Dervil (B/M 04-12-1979) of 4021 SE 12th Avenue, Cape Coral.

As this is still an ongoing investigation, no additional information will be released at this time.

Cape Coral Police Department Working Early Morning Shooting; First Homicide of 2014

(January 4, 2014)-  Shortly after 4:00 AM, Cape Coral Police Department Patrol Officers responded to 4021 SE. 12th Ave. in reference to a "shots heard"  call.

While checking the area, responding officers located a black male subject who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, in the parking lot at this address.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers quickly secured the area, established a perimeter, and began the investigation.   Cape Coral Police Department Detectives, Forensics personnel, and additional Patrol Officers responded to assist with gathering evidence, canvassing the neighborhood, identifying and locating witnesses, and attempting to identify a suspect.

Cape Coral Police Department personnel will be in the area for several more hours processing the crime scene and gathering evidence. 

Currently, the Cape Coral Police Department does not have a suspect in this case. No information will be released regarding the identity of the victim, pending notification of next-of-kin. 

Additional updates will be released as information becomes available.
