(November 17, 2014)-  The Cape Coral Police Department wants to remind drivers to buckle their seat belts.  The next "Click It or Ticket" campaign of 2014 is currently underway.  Starting today, November 17, 2014 and running through Sunday, November 30, 2014, Cape Coral Police will be focusing on enforcing seatbelt use.  Officers will be looking for seatbelt violations as primary offenses and will be issuing tickets instead of warnings to drivers who don't buckle up, or who don't have their passengers properly restrained.

"The fact of the matter is that seat belts save lives.  Enforcement campaigns such a Click It or Ticket allow us to raise awareness among drivers and remind them to get in the habit of buckling up."- Det. Sergeant Dana Coston, Cape Coral Police Department Public Affairs Officer.
