A Seniors vs. Crime Consumer Protection Notice From
The Office of Attorney General Pam Bondi

(June 19, 2014)-  Contractor selection can be done by word of mouth and by checking the contractors rating with the Better Business Bureau, it should be an "A" rating. Schedule a system inspection with your servicing company. The contractor should clean coils, blowers, condensate drain pans, check electrical connections, electrical contacts and refrigerant level (as needed).

If your A/C system has been working and the service lech tells you that you need extensive repairs or a new system, don't be sold on an expensive repair until you get a second opinion!! Even if your system is not working, you should always get another opinion. If you have to stay in a hotel for a day or two to get another estimate, it could save you thousands of dollars.

Repairs and system replacements: Make sure you get a written estimate detailing work to be performed. Use the estimates to ensure that all work is performed. If you have questions about the estimate, call the contractor and ask your questions before work begins.

We sincerely hope that this will be aide to you and hopefully these guideline will save you money, time and aggravation. If you need our assistance, and are over the age of 55, please contact us at our Cape Coral Office.
