Cape Coral Police Need Your Help Identifying a Retail Theft Suspect

(July 30, 2014)- On July 11, 2014 at around 4:00 PM, Cape Coral Police responded to Wal-Mart, located at 1619 Del Prado Boulevard South, regarding a past-occurred retail theft.

Loss-prevention personnel stated that on July 6th at approximately 7:00 AM, a black male was shopping inside the store.  The male selected some items from the electronics section, then went into the lingerie aisle, and concealed the items into a plastic Wal-Mart bag.  The male left the store through the garden section entrance/exit, passing all points of sale, without paying for the concealed merchandise.  While leaving the store, the male was asked by an associate to provide a receipt for the items in the bag.  The male then ran away into the parking lot, and left the scene in a red Toyota Camry, unknown tag.

The following items were stolen by the male, for a total dollar amount of $142.85:

  • One DVD of the movie "Ride Along."
  • One Blue Ray disc of the movie "Non-Stop."
  • One Playstation 3 Dualshock 3 controller.
  • One Linksys USB adapter.

The suspect is described as a black male, 18-25 years of age, with black hair, brown eyes, approximately 160 pounds, from 5`10 to 6`00 tall, with a back goatee.  The suspect was wearing a black tee shirt, blue jean shorts, and a black and a skull cap.
