NEWS RELEASE: Cape Coral Police Traffic Saturation Operation Results
(September 22, 2014)- The Cape Coral Police Department conducted a traffic saturation operation starting at 9:00 PM Saturday night (9/20/2014) through 3:00 AM Sunday morning (9/21/2014). The results are as follows:
Richard Charles Farber (W/M 11-12-56)
1815 SW 2nd Ave
MCpl. Satterlee 1200 Cape Coral Pkwy E.
Farber was stopped for driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Vincennes Blvd. After speaking with the driver, MCpl. Satterlee saw signs of impairment and requested Farber to complete field sobriety exercises, but Farber refused. Farber also refused to take a breath test.
Lloyd Michael Nichols (W/M 2-04-73)
1009 SW 11th Ave
Ofc. K. Edinger 400 SW Pine Island Rd.
Ofc. Edinger saw Nichols’ vehicle traveling northbound on Skyline Blvd with only its parking lights on. After Ofc. Edinger stopped Nichols and saw signs of impairment. Nichols told Ofc. Edinger that they didn’t need to go through all of the trouble of a DUI investigation because he was only three blocks from home. Ofc. Edinger still completed the DUI investigation. Breath test refused.
Shane Everett Earp (W/M 8-28-73)
4315 Agean Dr, Tampa
Ofc. J. McClurg
Earp was stopped for an expired temporary tag. After speaking with Earp, Earp told Ofc. McClurg that he didn’t believe that his license was valid. After running Earps’ license he had 8 suspensions for failing to pay fines.
George Fredette (W/M 9-28-62)
3804 SE 11th Ave
Ofc. M. Mills
After seeing Fredette drive over a curb, Ofc. M. Mills stopped his motorcycle. After speaking with Fredette, Ofc. Mills saw signs of impairment and asked Fredette to complete field sobriety exercises. Fredette submitted to HGN, but refused the rest of the SFSE’s. Fredette originally refused a breath test, but later submitted. BAC: .068. Ofc. Fessel and Sgt. Kolak responded to complete a Drug Influence Evaluation.
Malcoln Arnold Blair (B/M 1-11-74)
4231 Desoto Ave, Fort Myers
Ofc. C. Mills stopped Blair for running the stop sign at SE 47th Ter and Vincennes Blvd. After speaking with Blair, Ofc. Mills saw signs of impairment and asked Blair to complete field sobriety exercises, which he did. At the completion, Blair was arrested for DUI. BAC .192.
