(January 26, 2015)-  From Patrol, to Detectives, to K9, it was a busy weekend for members of the Cape Coral Police Department.  That busyness paid off in the arrest of several burglars.

Two separate instances resulted in four arrests, the clearance of several burglaries, and potentially more charges coming for the perpetrators.

ARRESTED
: Tristan M Gendron W/M, 15, of Cape Coral, FL.
CHARGES: Burglary to a vehicle, Theft (15-001469); Grand theft, Use of anti-shoplifting control device countermeasure, Carrying concealed weapon (15-001463)

Gendron was observed by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention cutting security devices off several items.  Gendron placed the items in his back pack and passed all points of sale without paying.  Loss prevention detained Gendron and contacted the Cape Coral Police Department.  While retrieving the stolen items from Gendron’s back pack several other items were located.  Investigation revealed that Gendron had also committed several vehicle burglaries in the area.  Cape Coral Police Detectives responded and assisted with locating victims of the stolen property.

CHARGES: Burglary & resisting an officer without violence (15-001492).

CHARGES: Burglary & resisting an officer without violence

Officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 400 block of NE 4th St. and observed the above suspects at another residence conducting another burglary. The suspects they fled on foot and were eventually located and charged accordingly. K9, Aviation, and Cape Coral Police Detectives assisted with the investigation. Investigation revealed several other burglaries in the area which Detectives are still investigating.  Additional charges are pending.
