(November 2, 2015)- Cape Coral Police Detectivesare asking for your help identifying an arson suspect.
Cape Coral Police Department responded to an arson call on the afternoon of October 26, 2015. The victim was at their residence in the 700 block of SW 5th Terrace when they saw a white male pouring gasoline across the Northeast corner in the front yard of the residence and down the driveway.
The victim told Police they saw the male pour a puddle of gas behind the vehicle at the foot of the driveway and then light the gasoline on fire. The suspect then ran to his black, four-door vehicle which had white paper covering the license plate.
Once the male was in the black car he drove west away from the victim's house. The suspect was W/M with short, black hair, and was wearing dark sunglasses.
A witness said he saw a dirty black four door Toyota Camry driving slowly in front of his house and thought this could be the vehicle involved in the fire.
