(February 27, 2015)-  The Cape Coral Police Department wants to remind drivers to buckle their seat belts.  The first "Click It or Ticket" campaign of 2015 is about to start.  Starting March 2, 2015 and running through March 13, 2015, Cape Coral Police are joining with law enforcement agencies all over the state and will be focusing on enforcing seatbelt use.  Officers will be looking for seatbelt violations as primary offenses and will be issuing tickets instead of warnings to drivers who don't buckle up, or who don't have their passengers properly restrained.

"Seat belts save lives.  Click It or Ticket helps us to raise awareness among drivers and remind them to get in the habit of buckling their seatbelt and making sure their passengers are properly restrained."- Det. Sergeant Dana Coston, Cape Coral Police Department Public Affairs Officer.
