(June 12, 2015)-  The Cape Coral Police Department will conduct its second High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) operation, as part of its Impaired Driving Project, tonight.

The goal of the Impaired Driving project is to conduct special HVE operations focused on impaired driving in an effort to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities attributable to impaired driving.

The first operation, conducted last weekend, resulted in seven arrests, four of which were for DUI, including one DUI crash where a driver jumped his car into the oncoming lanes of travel on Cape Coral Parkway.

The operation will be conducted citywide tonight, June 12, 2015, from 9:00 PM, to 5:00 AM.
