(December 1, 2016) -  A driver was arrested last night for crashing into a pre-existing crash scene, hitting 2 patrol vehicles and then hitting the already crashed vehicle and the tow truck that was loading it.

At around 10pm on November 30, 2016, Cape Coral Police patrol officers were working a crash scene at the 3900 block of Del Prado Blvd. South. A vehicle driven by Eugenio Pepe (DOB: 12-12-36) came upon the scene, and both officers as well as a tow truck driver had to dodge out of the vehicle's path. Pepe's vehicle then struck an officer's patrol vehicle, pushing it into the other officer's vehicle. Pepe continued on to then strike the already crashed vehicle as well as hitting the tow truck that was loading it. 

Pepe was arrested for four counts of reckless driving with property damage, and transported to the Lee County Jail.
