(December 1, 2016) - A nighttime traffic stop of a bicycle for having no lights led to the arrest of a trio of burglars/vandals.

On the evening of November 30, 2016, Cape Coral Police Patrol officers made a traffic stop on a bicycle for having no visible lights. The rider, Chance Kingsley (DOB: 12-1-99) was in possession of suspicious items he could not provide any explanation for. The investigation revealed that the items had come from car burglaries that had just occurred in both Cape Coral and in Lee County. Additionally, 6 vehicles in the area were discovered with spray paint tagging on them saying "I Love Car Hopping." Kingsley and his two counterparts, Larry Rada and Ricky Rada (DOB for both: 8-23-99) were arrested for burglary, grand theft, petit theft, and criminal mischief. The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be forthcoming.
