(February 29, 2016)-  The Cape Coral Police Department wants to remind drivers to buckle their seat belts.  The next "Click It or Ticket" campaign of 2016 is about to start.  Starting March 1, 2016 and running through March 14, 2016, Cape Coral Police are joining with law enforcement agencies all over the state and will be focusing on enforcing seatbelt use.  Officers will be looking for seatbelt violations as primary offenses and will be issuing tickets instead of warnings to drivers who don't buckle up, or who don't have their passengers properly restrained.

"The Click It or Ticket campaign helps raise awareness to get drivers in the habit of buckling up as well as their passengers.  Seat belts save lives."- Det. Sergeant Dana Coston, Cape Coral Police Department Public Affairs Officer
