(May 11, 2016)- One person was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon, following a roadway confrontation that ended in gunfire.
Yesterday around 4:15 PM, Cape Coral Police Department responded to a report of a person with a gunshot wound at Cape Coral ER.
Investigation revealed that the victim, in one vehicle, got into a confrontation with the suspect, in another vehicle, in the 1400 block of NE 1st Terrace. During the confrontation, the suspect fired an undisclosed number of rounds, striking the victim, causing a non-life-threatening injury.
The suspect vehicle was described as a small brown/gold colored SUV that was last seen driving southbound on NE 13th Place.
Cape Coral Police Department Patrol units, Detectives from our Investigative Services Bureau, and Forensics responded to the scene to assist.
