(May 5, 2016)- Cape Coral Police Detectives are asking for your help identifying a pair of thieves who stole a bronze statue from a Cape Coral home.
On April 8, 2016 Cape of Coral Police Department responded to a past-occurred grand theft.
Upon arrival it was learned that the victim, who owns the house, but primarily resides out of state wanted to make a report for theft. Victim stated that he visits the house several times a year. The victim told Officers that when he got home after being away for a month he noticed that the bronze statue on the front of the house was gone. The sculpture sat directly in front of his window. Victim stated that the sculpture is all bronze, depicting two children sitting on a bench.
Cape Coral Police Department was able to obtain surveillance footage dating back to March 3rd, 2016 at approximately 0220 hours, the day and time of the theft. The video shows two males, who are unknown at this time, walk up to the front of his house and take the statue.
Victim estimated the value of the statue to be $2,000 to $5,000.
