(June 5, 2016)-  This afternoon around 5:44 PM, Cape Coral Police Department respopnded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of Skyline Boulevard.

Upon arrival Officers discovered that a motorcyclist suffered a fatal gunshot wound.  The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

While working the initial shooting, a second shooting call came in to Cape Coral Police Departmentat 6:28 PM at the Circle K located at the intersection of Chiquita Boulevard and Cape Coral Parkway W.

Officers arrived to discover that one person in the store sustained a fatal gunshot wound and another person sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Officers located the suspect approximately 4 minutes later at the intersection of Skyline Boulevard and Cape Coral Parkway W.  Officers stopped the vehicle near the 5100 block of Skyline Boulevard.  The suspect was still armed and violently resisting Officers as multiple Officers engaged him.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.  There were two passengers in the car with the suspect, both of whom sustained injuries.  Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The scene at 2600 Skyline has been processed and cleared.

Officers, Detectives, Forensics personnel and Victim Advocates are still assisting at the remaining scenes.

No names are being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin of the victims and the suspect.

This is still a very active and fluid investigation.  Additional information will be forthcoming as it becomes available.
