(July 13, 2016)- What started as a suspicious vehicle call turned into an arrest and a recovered stolen firearm.
Last night at around 11:10 PM, Cape Coral Police responded to a suspicious vehicle at the Hancock Ball Park located at 2211 Hancock Bridge Parkway E. Officers drove into the park and shined the spotlight on the front of the suspicious vehicle which was occupied.
Officers could see Anthony Satchel, seated in the driver’s seat, reaching down in front of him near the floor board. Officers made contact and asked Satchel and the two passengers to exit the vehicle.
Officers could smell the odor of burnt cannabis coming from the vehicle and a narcotics investigation ensued. While searching the vehicle, Officers located a loaded High Point CF380 handgun under the driver’s seat where Satchel was seen seated and reaching down where he had immediate access.
