(January 2, 2017) - Officers checking on the welfare of a man who appeared to be passed out wound up checking him in to the Lee County Jail on numerous charges.

On January 1, 2017, officers responded to a check welfare call of a man parked in a vacant lot at the 1700 block of SE 10th Avenue who was slumped over the wheel of his car. Officers made contact with Christopher Moulder, who had a small green baggie in his lap. Further investigation revealed Moulder was carrying an illegally concealed firearm in his waistband, as well as additional drugs throughout his vehicle. He was charged with possession of 3.9 grams of heroin, possession of 5.4 grams of crack cocaine, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and was transported to the Lee County Jail.
