(January 27, 2017) - A traffic stop resulted in two men attempting to conceal their guns by throwing them out the car windows.
On January 27, 2017, Cape Coral Police Patrol officers made a traffic stop at the 900 block of SE 47th Terrace when the license plate did not match the vehicle it was attached to. During the stop the officer observed two guns thrown from the vehicle. After the stop was completed and through further investigation, it was determined that both occupants of the vehicle had been in possession of one firearm each. Alex Paz (DOB: 9-17-98) was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm without a license, while Tyreek Carter (DOB: 3-10-98) was arrested for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and tampering with evidence. Both were transported to the Lee County Jail.
