The crash was observed by OFC Taylor and the vehicle suffered heavy front-end damage, resulting in the above subjects fleeing on foot.

South units set up a perimeter and containment was quickly established. Multiple K9 units and aviation arrived to assist. A short time later the suspects were detained. Chaleunsouk received a bite from K9 Carbon (OFC S. Scrobe). A revolver, cannabis, and money was recovered from the vehicle with the help of Forensics personnel. Investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen prior to the stop from the Casa Loma motel from a known party; that both Tevis and Chaeleunsouk possessed the cannabis; and that Chaeleunsouk concealed the firearm within the vehicle.
