(February 27, 2017) - A prowler being chased by police first tried running, then swimming, with neither being successful.

On the evening of February 24th, Cape Coral Police patrol officers were working a vehicle burglary in the 4800 block of Manor Court in which a pair of pink sunglasses had been taken. Officers searching the area spotted Dylan Farley looking into vehicles nearby. Farley fled when officers tried to detain him, and jumped into a nearby canal. A perimeter was set up around the canal, and Farley swam right into the waiting arms of officers. The pink sunglasses could not be located.

Farley was placed under arrest for loitering and prowling as well as resisting without violence, and was transported to the Lee County Jail.
