(March 17, 2017)-  The Cape Coral Police Department will conduct another High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) operation, as part of its Impaired Driving Project, tonight.

The goal of the Impaired Driving Project is to conduct special HVE operations focused on impaired driving, in an effort to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities attributable to impaired driving.

The operation will be a traffic saturation patrol that will focus on impaired drivers citywide tonight, Friday, March 17, 2017, running from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

"We want everyone who is going out tonight to celebrate and have a good time; just be smart about it.  Have a plan- If you are going to drink, use a designated driver, taxi, or ride-share app," said Lt. Dana Coston, Cape Coral Police Department Public Affairs Officer.
