(May 14, 2017)-  In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. The Cape Coral Police Department is proud to celebrate National Police Week and is grateful for the support of the citizens of Cape Coral.

Over the years, the event has grown into a week-long memorial.  This year, National Police Memorial Week is May 14 - May 20, 2017.  For more information, please visit www.nleomf.org

Throughout the week, take a moment to reflect on what a wonderful and safe community in which we live and the men and women of the Cape Coral Police Department who work every day to keep Cape Coral one of the safest cities in Florida.
