(May 15, 2017) - The Cape Coral Police Department has made an arrest in this morning's shooting incident off of Cornwallis Parkway that left one man deceased.

At approximately 9:35am, Cape Coral Police responded to a report of shots fired at 1914 Cornwallis Parkway. Upon arrival officers located a white male suffering from gunshot wounds in front of the home; the male was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Contact was made with the resident at the home, Ryan Doyon (W/M, DOB: 12-18-89). Further investigation led to probable cause for Doyon's arrest on the charge of second degree murder; Doyon was placed under arrest and will be transported to the Lee County Jail upon completion of the booking process at the Cape Coral Police Department.

The deceased male HAS been identified; notification of next-of-kin for the deceased HAS NOT yet been made. Further information will be available once notifications have been made.
