(June 28, 2017)-  What started as a hit and run escalated into aggravated assault when the suspect stopped their vehicle and drove in reverse to ram the victim.  Now Detectives are asking for your help identifying the suspect.

OnJune 13th around 10:00 PM, officers responded responded to the 4000 block of SE 11th Ave, in reference to an aggravated assault.

Officers made contact with the victim, who advised that he was traveling in the 3200 block of County Club Blvd when an unknown black pick up truck came along side of him, side-swiping his vehicle.

The victim followed the truck in an attempt to get the vehicle to pull over until it turned east bound on Se 40th Street from County Club Blvd. The truck turned its lights off and sped away.  The victim was able to locate the truck stopped in front of a residence in the 4000 block SE 11th Ave at which point the victim exited his vehicle and attempted to make contact with the driver of the truck.

The driver of the truck reversed their vehicle at a high rate of speed into the victim's vehicle causing the victim to have to jump out of the way of being stuck by the vehicle. The truck then sped off from the scene, leaving the victim and their damaged vehicle behind.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as “dark in color mid to late 2000's American style pickup, not the newest style.”  The vehicle will likely have damage on the passenger side from the hit and run and damage on the rear end from intentionally striking the victims vehicle.  The vehicle does have a tow hitch.
