(July 15, 2017)-  Cape Coral Police Detectives need your help identifying a stongarm robbery suspect.

At around 1:00 AM, Cape Coral Police responded to a robbery in progress at the Circle K located at 3704 Skyline Boulevard.

The suspect, described as a a white or hispanic male, wearing a black and green shirt over his face, ran up to the female store clerk, who was standing outside the store, grabbed her by the neck and dragged her back inside the store. The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the register. The suspect was approximately 6’00' tall, wearing a gray t-shirt and gray plaid knee-length shorts. The suspect fled on foot, southbound from the business through a vacant lot.

Officers set up a perimeter in the area and K-9 officers conducted a track. Aviation also responded to assist. During the K-9 track evidence was located and recovered. However, the suspect could not be located during the search.

Investigative Services Bureau Major Crimes Unit detectives responded and took over the investigation. Forensics personnel processed the scene and collected evidence and surveillance video of the suspect. Public Affairs Office sent out a Ping4 alert, warning residents and drivers in the area.
