(November 6, 2018)- On November 6 around 1:35 AM, Cape Coral Police responded to a call for service in reference to a vehicle burglary in progress at the 2100 block of NE 28th ST.
The reporting person advised he saw two black males entering vehicles within the neighborhood, then leaving the area westbound in a white SUV. Officers quickly responded to the location. As officers were on scene the white SUV passed by and the witness explained that was the vehicle.
The white SUV was stopped and all occupants were detained. It was determined through the investigation that three of the occupants had hopped out of the vehicle and were making entries into unlocked vehicles along the street. The three were Keevontaye John Plair (B/M, DOB: 07/17/1999, 3260 Willin ST, Fort Myers), Johntaye Deiondraye Plair (B/M, DOB: 05/30/1997, 3260 Willin ST, Fort Myers), and Mikavion Tyron McCarter (B/M, DOB: 10/04/2001, of Fort Myers)
Property from the crimes was located inside of the suspects’ vehicle and returned to the victim.
All three were charged with two counts of Burglary to a Vehicle and later transferred to Lee County Jail.
