(December 26, 2018)- Cape Coral Police Department DUI arrests for December 9 through 21, 2018.
Cape Coral Police responded to a reckless driver call for service and observed Fredrick driving a vehicle matching the description, running a red light. Contact was made with Fredrick, who exhibited signs of impairment. The field evaluations were performed poorly and Fredrick was arrested. BREATH: 0.227 / 0.226.
Cape Coral Police made contact with Lopez, who was sitting in her running vehicle sitting in front of a closed business. Lopez exhibited signs of impairment and a DUI investigation ensued. BREATH: Refused.
Cape Coral Police responded to a single vehicle traffic crash. The investigation led to contact with the driver (Hayden). Hayden showed signs of impairment upon contact and following the crash investigation, a DUI investigation began. Hayden performed field evaluations poorly and was placed under arrest. BREATH: 0.127 / 0.127.
Cape Coral Police responded to a call for service in reference to a intoxicated male in a vehicle in the Circle K parking lot. When officers arrived, Rhiel Jr was sitting inside his running vehicle. Rhiel showed signs of impairment and a DUI investigation ensued. Clark performed poorly on the field evaluations and was arrested. BREATH: 0.200 / 0.199.
Cape Coral Police made a traffic stop for violation of a traffic control device revealed that VanPoelvoorde was impaired. He was also in possession of an Oxycodone pill. BREATH: 0.228 and 0.220.
Cape Coral Police stopped Sandusky for unlawful speed. Contact was made with Sandusky who exhibited signs of impairment which led to a DUI investigation and ultimately led to arrest. BREATH: Refused.
Cape Coral Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Wickey was driving for unlawful speed. Contact with the Wickey and the officer observed indicators of impairment. A DUI investigation ensued and Wickey performed the field evaluations poorly resulting in an arrest. BREATH: Refused.
Cape Coral Police responded to a call for service at the 1300-block of SE 44th ST in reference to a traffic crash. A pick-up truck ran into a mailbox and then into a tree in a front yard of a residence. The caller reported that Lessard got out of the truck and walked away from the scene. Lessard was located by Officers hiding in the bushes nearby. A DUI investigation was conducted based on Lessard exhibiting indicators of impairment. BREATH: Refused.
Cape Coral Police responded to a call for service at the 2000 block of Veterans Pkwy E in reference to a traffic crash. Upon arrival, officers found that Murtagh had fled the scene and was found nearby. Murtagh exhibited signs of impairment and a DUI investigation ensued which led to arrest. BREATH: Refused.
