(June 25, 2018) - The Cape Coral Police Department made five DUI arrests between June 19-25, 2018. Below is the information on these arrests:
Officers were dispatched to an unknown problem of a driver passed out behind the wheel of his car at the intersection of Santa Barbara Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Parkway. Contact was made Jordan who exhibited signs of impairment. He performed poorly on field sobriety exercises and was arrested for DUI. BAC%: .138 / .137
Henderson was observed driving recklessly for several miles by a wheel witness who called CCPD. Officers located and stopped Henderson traveling westbound at the 800 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway West. A DUI investigation ensued, and field sobriety exercises determined Henderson was impaired. He was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail. BAC%: Refused.
Officers at the police department lobby were made aware that a Gregory Raley was making threats toward several persons via phone and/or text and was in town in a black Honda Accord. The reporting party also stated that Raley had commented that if confronted, he would “shoot police officers in the head” and that he was likely traveling armed. The black Honda Accord driven by Raley was located after being involved in a minor traffic crash at Cape Coral Parkway and Del Prado Boulevard. Following the traffic crash investigation, a DUI investigation revealed that Raley was extremely intoxicated while driving. A vape pen containing THC oil, a zip lock bag of containing 2.2 grams of marijuana, two glass pipes containing burnt marijuana residue, a 9mm handgun and a large 10” fixed blade K-Bar knife were all found inside Raley's vehicle. He was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail. BAC% .157 / .146
Jones drove her vehicle into a parked car in a driveway not far from her home, causing that car to crash into a house. The crash investigation led to a DUI investigation. Jones refused field sobriety exercises or a breath test, and was arrested on multiple DUI-related charges. BAC%: Refused.
Officers responded to a single-vehicle traffic crash at the 5400 block of Skyline Boulevard where the driver had fled the scene on foot after striking several mailboxes, trees, and a sprinkler control box. Aviation was already in the air for an unrelated incident and tracked the driver, Michael Fahey, until officers apprehended him.
