(July 17, 2018)-  On July 15, 2018 a Cape Coral Police patrol officer made a traffic stop for speed which led into a narcotics investigation.  

Owen Joseph Golden (W/M, DOB: 07/03/1996, 1727 NE 35th ST) was a passenger in the stopped vehicle. A Cape Coral Police Department K-9 arrived on scene and gave an alert that there was the presence of drugs.  

A search of Golden revealed a clear plastic baggy located in one of his socks containing a black tar like substance; later determined to be heroin. The black tar heroin was later weighed and was 28 grams. 

Golden was charged with possession of more than 10 grams of heroin.

Golden was later transferred to Lee County Jail.
