(March 11, 2019)- Sergeant Alisha McDonald has been with the Cape Coral Police Department since 2006. She is currently assigned to the Professional Standards Bureau and oversees Personnel, Recruitment, Background Investigations, and Accreditation. She also serves as a Department Preparedness Coordinator (DPC), working with Emergency Management, in disaster preparedness planning.
Sergeant McDonald has previously served in the Patrol Bureau and in the Investigative Services Bureau. While assigned to the Investigative Services Bureau she served as a Property Crimes Unit Detective and as a Major Crimes Unit Detective. During her MCU assignment she was a member of CART (Child Abduction Response Team), SART (Sexual Abuse Response Team), HTTF (Human Trafficking Task Force), and was on the Domestic Violence Review Board.
Sergeant McDonald holds an Associate of Science Degree from Full Sail University where she was the Salutatorian of her class, and is working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration at Barry University.
During Sergeant McDonald’s service to this community she has received several commendations, citations, and received the Lifesaving Award in 2018.
