(August 2, 2019) - The following are the Cape Coral Police Department’s DUI arrests between July 22nd and August 1st, 2019. This edition contains two persons more than twice the legal limit, two stopped for speeding, a driver who got stuck in a water-filled ditch, and one who was also texting while driving.

The easiest way to not get a DUI is to NOT drive impaired. If you are going out to partake in adult beverages, designate a sober driver or utilize an alternate form of transportation: Uber, Lyft, taxi, bus, etc. Don’t take the chance of ruining a life, including your own.

ARRESTED: Bryanna Michelle Bailey, W/F, DOB: 2-23-92, of 2309 NW 5th Street, Cape Coral FL.

CHARGES: Driving Under the Influence With BAC% Over .15%

A CCPD Patrol officer stopped Bailey for speeding at the 4400 block of Del Prado Boulevard South (53MPH in a 35MPH zone). Upon contact, Bailey exhibited indicators of impairment, and a DUI investigation ensued. Bailey performed poorly on the field sobriety exercises and was arrested. BAC%: 0.187 / 0.192

ARRESTED: Eric David Bourdeau, W/M, DOB: 7-9-71, of 9370 N. Cedar Cove Road, Dunnellon FL.

CHARGES: Driving Under the Influence

A CCPD Patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on Bourdeau’s vehicle for an expired registration at the 1000 block of NE 16th Place. Bourdeau showed signs of impairment and a DUI investigation ensued. Bourdeau performed poorly on field sobriety exercises and was arrested. BAC%: Refused.

ARRESTED: Steven Michael Worth, W/M, DOB: 6-13-68, of 1219 NW 38th Place, Cape Coral FL.

CHARGES: Driving Under the Influence

A CCPD Patrol officer stopped Worth for an improper turn at the 2800 block of Santa Barbara Boulevard South. Contact was made with Worth who exhibited indicators of impairment, and a DUI investigation ensued. Worth performed poorly on the field sobriety exercises and was arrested. BAC%: 0.153 / 0.148

ARRESTED: Guenter Denner, W/M, DOB: 12-4-28, of 1452 SE 14th Street, Cape Coral FL.

CHARGES: Driving Under the Influence

A CCPD Patrol sergeant stopped Denner at the 100 block of Nicholas Parkway East for speed and failing to maintain a single lane. Upon contact Denner exhibited indicators of impairment, and a DUI investigation ensued. Denner performed poorly on the field sobriety exercises and was arrested. BAC%: 0.072 / 0.070

ARRESTED: Hugo L. Cardenas, W/M, DOB: 7-18-51, of 618 SE 10th Avenue, Cape Coral FL.

CHARGES: Driving Under the Influence, Driving with License Expired >6 Months

A CCPD Patrol officer stopped Cardenas at the 800 block of Diplomat Parkway East for running a stop sign. Cardenas exhibited indicators of impairment, and a DUI investigation ensued. Cardenas performed poorly on the field sobriety exercises and was arrested. BAC%: 0.131 / 0.135

ARRESTED: Arturo Garcia-Loredo, W/M, DOB: 5-22-88, of 149 Patton Street, Naples FL.

CHARGES: Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to Breath Test After Prior Refusal

A CCPD Patrol officer stopped Loredo at the 800 block of Cape Coral Parkway East for failure to maintain a single lane and texting while driving. Upon contact, Loredo showed signs of impairment and numerous empty beer bottles were visible within plain view.  Loredo performed poorly on field sobriety exercises and was arrested for DUI. BAC%: Refused. Loredo had a previous refusal to submit a sample of his breath on a prior DUI arrest and was charged accordingly.

ARRESTED: Isaac David Cabezas Jr., W/M, DOB: 9-25-91, of 3405 SE 9th Avenue, Cape Coral FL.

CHARGES: Driving Under the Influence With BAC% Over .15%

An LCSO deputy observed Cabezas trying to drive his vehicle out of a water filled ditch at the 2600 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway East (just inside Cape Coral city limits by the Veterans Memorial Bridge).  A CCPD officer arrived to assume the investigation. Cabezas performed poorly on field sobriety exercises and was arrested. BAC%: .218 / .207
