DRIVER 1 INJURIES: Girard died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

DRIVER 2 INJURIES: Sarah Conley was not injured in the crash.

VEHICLE 2 PASSENGER 1 INJURIES: Allie Conley was not injured in the crash.

VEHICLE 2 PASSENGER 2 INJURIES: Juvenile was not injured in the crash.

 SYNOPSIS:

Vehicle 1 was traveling north on Skyline Blvd and upon reaching the intersection with SW 37th St, moved into the center median turn lane to turn left onto SW 37th St. Vehicle 2 was traveling south on Skyline Blvd in the inside lane approaching the intersection with SW 37th St. As Vehicle 2 passed south through the intersection, Vehicle 1 suddenly turned left across the path of Vehicle 2. The left front portion of Vehicle 2 collided with the front right side of Vehicle 1. The collision ejected the driver of Vehicle 1 who came to rest in the center median crossover approximately 30 feet south of the area of impact. A portion of Vehicle 1 came to final rest approximately 15 feet south of the area of impact. After the collision, Vehicle 2 continued south, crossed into the outside lane, and came to a controlled stop approximately 160 feet south of the area of impact.

 The driver of Vehicle 1 died on-scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of Vehicle 1 was wearing a helmet (Non-DOT). The driver and passengers of Vehicle 2 were not injured. 

 THI Ofc D. Gray and DRE’s Sgt H. Causer and Officer R. Martini responded. CCPD Forensic Technician C. Potts and Victims Advocate C. Seymour also responded.

 Alcohol/drugs ARE AN UKNOWN factor in the traffic crash. Next-of-kin HAVE BEEN notified.
