What is the Cost for Project Lifesaver?
The cost of the bracelet (which includes transmitter, battery and band) is $300.00 and requires an additional $10.00 per month maintenance fee. The battery and band must be replaced monthly and the transmitter case must be replaced periodically. To protect the investment and ensure that the equipment functions correctly, every 30 days Project Lifesaver Team members change the battery and band, and check the battery/transmitter tester. They review the caregiver’s daily Project Lifesaver paperwork for accuracy, update the client information, and answer any questions the caregiver may have at that time.
Enrollment of a client in Project Lifesaver requires that the client and/or caregiver pay for the use and maintenance of the transmitter equipment and supplies.
If a potential client or caregiver cannot pay for the cost of the bracelet or monthly maintenance fee, donations may be available. If donations are not readily available, applicants are placed on a waiting list until such time that funds can be acquired.
Equipment and supplies remain the property of the Cape Coral Police Department Project Lifesaver Program. Upon departure of a client from the program, equipment and supplies are returned, inspected, and reassigned as needed.
